This was great pieces found by a backyard pool by a friend of ours and restored by us.

Last spring we had the opportunity to restore the interior of a 40 ft. boat that was being fashioned into a dinner cruise ship. All the wood- work was done by an old friend , Joe Toth. Our expert finishers were able to bring Joe’s expert craftsmanship to life with a beautiful oak stained finish. The Miss Lotta is open for dinner cruises nightly and special occasions. Check it out if you can.
We are very proud and happy to let everyone know that we have , since June , been working on and completed major restoration work in the ” Old Main” at Delbarton School in Mendham , NJ. Our work consisted of restoration of all woodwork in the Main Lobby, Music Room , Stairway to the 2nd floor and the former Staff Dining area. We not only refinished all wood paneled walls and ceilings but we also replaced numerous missing components such as carvings , turnings and tons of moldings. We will be posting photos of the entire project shortly and we hope that everyone takes a moment to view this effort and appreciate this magnificent and historic landmark. Eric and Pete Schichtel
Sometime back ( note Pete’s short hair ) we had the opportunity to restore Cole Porter’s piano which had been on display in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel since Cole had lived there. Our work had to be done on site due to the size of the piano and the hotel was reluctant to let it leave the hotel. Prior to the restoration , the piano was almost black and most of the oil painting underneath was barely visible. Careful cleaning and hand application of finish brought out the amazing details of this extraordinary work of art.
As the photos reveal, the end result was spectacular.
